If you’re not currently employed, you’re not eligible for our funded apprenticeship programmes.

We know that sounds direct, but we want to save you time and be upfront.

Why We’re Upfront About This

We get hundreds of applications from brilliant people who aren’t eligible right now. We want to respect your time and focus our support where we can have impact, helping those in eligible roles grow with us.

Who Can Apply?

You must be:

– Employed in a role that aligns with the apprenticeship
– Working at least 50% of your working week in England
– Not in full-time education or studying another training programme
– Aged 16 or older
– Not already holding a qualification in a similar subject or level applying for

You must also meet the residency eligibility requirements set out below:

Residency

You must have been an ordinary resident of the UK (not including a student visa) for 3 years prior to the start date of the programme.

– Have the right to work in the UK. Visas must be valid for the full duration of the programme (including end point assessment).
– UK Nationals who have been ordinarily resident in the UK/EEA for 3 years prior to the start date of the programme.
– EEA Nationals who have been ordinarily resident in the UK/EEA for 3 years prior to the start date of the programme, and have pre-settled or settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme.

Is My Job Eligible?

Your current role must involve tasks related to the apprenticeship. For example, if applying for our GenAI apprenticeship (based on the Digital Support Technician standard), your job should include things like:
– Providing digital or IT support
– Troubleshooting tech issues
– Helping others use software, platforms, or hardware

If that doesn’t describe your work, the government won’t approve funding, and we can’t offer the apprenticeship.
