About the Digital Product Manager Apprenticeship

The Digital Product Manager Level 4 apprenticeship equips you with the skills to define product vision and strategy, conduct market and user research, and align development with business goals. You’ll gain practical experience in agile product management, roadmapping, backlog management and product analytics to deliver products that meet customer needs.

Through blended learning that combines expert-led teaching, hands-on practice and coaching, you’ll also build the communication and stakeholder management skills to influence outcomes and drive successful product delivery.

This programme is designed for individuals working in product, service or project management roles who want to strengthen their ability to deliver successful products.

Conduct user research and prioritise requirements to design products that meet customer needs.
Deliver value using agile product management methods, from roadmapping to backlog management.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders and build alignment across teams.

Programme topics

Understand how to set a clear product vision and align it to the product lifecycle. Use design thinking to define product problems and create strategy through market analysis and competitive research. Develop stakeholder management skills to keep teams aligned with the product vision.

Conduct user research to identify needs and behaviours, translate findings into product requirements and prioritise features. Learn UX and digital service design principles and apply them to create user-centred products that deliver value.

Learn to plan and deliver against business goals using agile product management. Build roadmaps, manage backlogs and measure benefits realisation to ensure that development work delivers impact.

Develop the ability to gather and analyse product data, measure performance and use insights to guide iteration. Learn to apply data-driven strategies to optimise user experience and business outcomes.

Tailored for your organisation

This apprenticeship can be adapted to your organisation’s products, processes and data tools, ensuring learning is directly relevant to your team and delivers immediate value.

Who can apply?

– You are responsible for collecting and processing data within your organisation.
– Living and working in the UK or EEA for at least three years.*
– You have the right to work in the UK and will spend at least 50% of your working time in England throughout the duration of the programme.
– Working 30+ hours per week (part-time roles may qualify with sufficient cohort size).
– Able to allocate at least 6 hours per week for off-the-job learning throughout the 13-month programme.
– Must not be currently pursuing any other government-funded schemes including student loan funded programmes.

If you are ineligible or unsuitable for the apprenticeship, we can offer a commercially funded equivalent programme.
