Build the advanced data skills to turn complex datasets into clear insights. Learn Python, SQL, data cleansing and predictive analytics, and gain the confidence to deliver analyses that drive action.
This programme is designed for data professionals and analysts who are ready to take their skills to the next level.
You will gain practical, hands-on experience with Python, SQL and data visualisation tools, developing the ability to extract, clean, structure and interpret data. The curriculum covers predictive analytics and introduces machine learning techniques, enabling you to produce high-quality, evidence-based insights that inform decisions and improve performance.
This programme is designed for learners responsible for producing analyses, insights and advanced reports for others. It is ideal for those who need to perform data analysis as part of their day-to-day role and want to build a deeper technical toolkit.
The ideal candidate profile will be someone who is:
– Analytical and detail-oriented, with a passion for using data to solve problems.
– Comfortable working with numbers and exploring new tools and techniques.
– Skilled at presenting findings clearly and turning data into meaningful insight.
– Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
– Ready to commit to a 15-month programme and a further assessment period.
By the end of the programme, you will be able to:
– Extract, clean and transform data using Python libraries and SQL queries.
– Design and manage databases to improve data structure, performance and security.
– Apply statistical techniques to answer key business questions and validate findings.
– Build compelling data visualisations and dashboards that engage stakeholders.
– Apply predictive modelling and machine learning techniques to generate forecasts and uncover trends.
For employers, this means building an in-house capability for advanced analysis, enabling faster, more accurate decision-making and reducing dependence on external consultants or ad hoc reporting.
Gain hands-on experience with Python libraries and tools to extract, clean and transform data for analysis. Learn to manipulate and organise data efficiently and create clear charts, graphs and visualisations that communicate findings effectively.
Identify the right questions to ask and select appropriate analysis methods. Build confidence with statistical techniques including descriptive and inferential statistics, probability and hypothesis testing. Craft compelling narratives that make insights accessible and actionable.
Explore principles of data architecture, database design and data modelling. Learn to use SQL to extract, manipulate and manage data efficiently, write effective queries and maintain data integrity.
Analyse and model time series data to uncover trends and patterns. Gain practical skills in forecasting and predictive analytics, and explore machine learning techniques such as classification, regression and clustering.
The programme can be adapted to your organisation’s data tools, reporting priorities and analytical needs, ensuring that projects deliver immediate value in the workplace.
