– Interested in leveraging AI tools to improve business operations.

Outcomes

By the end of the programme, you will be able to:

Streamline everyday tasks and workflows by applying effective prompting with generative AI.
Automate documents and communication, including drafting, editing and summarising, while keeping outputs on-brand.
Turn data into decisions by cleaning datasets, building clear visuals and explaining insights.
Apply responsible, secure AI by spotting risks such as bias, checking quality and protecting sensitive information.
Redesign processes, champion adoption and deliver initiatives using simple playbooks, measures and clear ROI.
– Sustain growth with a personal development plan and shared team practices.

By building in-house AI champions, organisations benefit from greater efficiency, stronger decision-making and faster digital transformation, leading to cost savings and improved ROI through process automation and efficiency gains.

Programme modules

You’ll build a clear, practical understanding of generative AI and where it adds real value in modern workplaces. Explore case studies across sectors that show its potential to revolutionise processes, products and services. Understand the limits of generative AI and where human judgement is essential. Establish the foundations of responsible use so outputs are fair, transparent and safe. understand the critical role that responsible AI plays in maintaining fairness and transparency in a digital world.

Develop the skills to get reliable, useful outputs from generative AI. Write, test and refine prompts for everyday tools such as Microsoft 365. Use proven patterns such as iterations, examples, constraints and roles to improve quality and reduce rework. Troubleshoot common failures, document what works and build simple prompt libraries your team can reuse.

Get hands-on with generative AI to collaborate on documents, automate editing and streamline content production. You’ll cover advanced formatting and management techniques, and automate repetitive tasks like proofreading, summarising and templating. The result is less time spent on document work and a faster route from draft to sign-off.

Apply generative AI to clean datasets, run formulas and lookups, and carry out quick descriptive analyses. Create charts, ask natural language questions to surface trends and explore simple predictive techniques with clear checks for quality and limits. This leads to faster, more confident decision-making from the data you already have.

Turn complex datasets into clear, persuasive charts and slides. Use AI to recommend chart types, refine the story and produce presentation-ready assets, adding simple interactivity where useful. The result is sharper insights that stakeholders grasp quickly and can act on with confidence.

Streamline day-to-day communication with generative AI for inbox triage, meeting preparation, note-taking, action tracking and drafting clear, on-brand messages. Integrate AI into daily workflows across email, calendars and project tools to reduce context switching and keep teams aligned. The result is reduced admin burden, smoother collaboration and more time for higher-value work.

Put responsibility front and centre with practical principles for fairness, transparency and accountability, applied to everyday productivity tools. Learn to spot and mitigate risks such as bias, hallucinations and over-reliance, using simple checks, human review and clear audit trails before sharing. The result is outputs colleagues can trust and act on with confidence.

Evaluate sources and AI outputs for accuracy and completeness, and set practical quality checks that fit day-to-day work. Protect sensitive information with data minimisation, access controls and clear governance frameworks aligned to policy and regulation. The outcome is reliable insight and reduced data risk.

Identify strong use cases, set baselines and KPIs and run short pilots that gather feedback and evidence of impact. Engage stakeholders, refine processes and build a simple case for scaling what works and stopping what doesn’t. The result is visible value from AI initiatives, delivered sooner.

Create a personal learning plan, join practitioner communities and share wins across your team. Test new features safely, capture what works in simple playbooks and keep tools, workflows and skills aligned. The result is lasting capability growth, not just one-off training.
