Before applying for the apprenticeship I didn’t have any formal training in data analysis. What really appealed to me was the chance to explore machine learning and data science, as I didn’t really know how I could apply it to what I do and it’s been transformative in my way of working.

The apprenticeship has opened my eyes to explore more, to question data and to figure out how to answer those questions in an easier way now that I have that foundational knowledge to expand upon.

The shift in productivity it has given me has an impact on my role and ways of working; it’s made my life easier.

My advice to anyone thinking of applying to the apprenticeship is to take the leap of faith and go for it! It’s also a chance to explore something you might not otherwise have the opportunity to do.
