Tailored for those who regularly interact with digital tools, data, and productivity applications, this programme covers the critical aspects of GenAI usage, from document automation to ethical considerations in AI deployment. By the end of this apprenticeship, participants will have a deep understanding of how to utilise GenAI to optimise business processes, enhance communication, and drive productivity, while also being able to adapt to the rapidly evolving GenAI technologies.

Programme Topics

This module offers a comprehensive introduction to Generative AI, providing learners with an overview of the potential that GenAI holds to revolutionise industries across the globe. Through real-world case studies, participants will explore how successful AI implementations are transforming the business landscape. Additionally, the ethical considerations and responsibilities that come with AI usage will be examined, ensuring learners understand the critical role that responsible AI plays in maintaining fairness and transparency in a digital world.

In this module, learners will be introduced to the art and science of prompt engineering, a core skill in the use of AI systems. Participants will explore the fundamentals of creating effective prompts that guide AI to generate accurate and relevant outputs. Using practical examples, learners will develop the skills to craft prompts for common office applications, such as those in the Microsoft 365 suite, and understand best practices for refining and optimising prompts to suit various tasks and workflows.

This module dives deep into the capabilities of AI-driven document creation, showing learners how to harness GenAI to collaborate on documents, automate editing, and streamline content production. Participants will learn advanced techniques for document formatting and management, as well as methods for automating repetitive tasks like proofreading, summarising, and generating templates. By the end of the module, learners will be equipped to significantly reduce the time spent on document-related tasks through the use of AI.

In this module, learners will explore how to apply AI in the realm of data analysis. They will learn how GenAI can automate complex data management tasks, such as applying formulas, sorting data, and creating dynamic charts. Participants will also be introduced to the concept of predictive analytics, enabling them to identify trends and forecast outcomes using AI-generated insights. This module equips learners with the tools to manipulate and present data in ways that drive informed business decisions.

This module focuses on how GenAI can be used to create dynamic and visually engaging data presentations. Participants will discover how to transform complex datasets into clear, impactful visualisations that can be easily understood by stakeholders. The module also covers how to use AI to enhance presentations with interactive elements such as charts, graphs, and multimedia, ensuring that the insights gained from data analysis are communicated effectively and persuasively.

Effective communication is at the heart of productivity, and in this module, learners will explore how GenAI tools can enhance communication in the workplace. From AI-driven inbox organisation and meeting scheduling to task management, participants will learn how to integrate AI seamlessly into their day-to-day workflows. The module will demonstrate how AI can be used to streamline tasks and boost productivity, allowing learners to focus on high-value activities that require human expertise.

This module delves into the ethical and responsible use of AI in the workplace, with a focus on productivity tools. Participants will learn about the frameworks and principles that ensure AI is used in a way that upholds fairness, transparency, and accountability. The module will address critical issues such as AI bias, and learners will develop the skills to implement responsible AI practices that avoid unfair outcomes and support inclusive decision-making.

As AI tools become increasingly integrated into business operations, ensuring data quality and security is paramount. In this module, participants will learn how to evaluate the quality of AI-generated outputs, assess data sources for accuracy, and implement governance frameworks for AI-powered solutions. Learners will also explore strategies for securing data used in AI applications, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and regulations to protect sensitive information from misuse or bias.

In this module, learners will be introduced to the principles of change management in the context of AI adoption. They will learn how to lead AI-driven initiatives that enhance productivity and drive measurable returns on investment. By exploring case studies of successful AI implementations, participants will gain insights into designing and redesigning business processes to maximise the benefits of AI, ensuring that their organisations stay competitive and innovative in the digital age.

The final module focuses on the importance of continuous learning in the rapidly evolving field of AI. Learners will develop personal development plans that enable them to stay ahead of new AI tools and trends. They will be encouraged to network within AI communities, share knowledge, and seek out new opportunities for skill development. This module empowers participants to continuously grow their AI expertise and remain at the forefront of technological advancements.
