We’re proud to share Daniel Kiely’s journey as a Senior Technical Analyst at Citi and graduate of the Citi Data Academy.

For Daniel, completing the apprenticeship marked a true full-circle moment. Having left school to begin his first apprenticeship at 17, returning to structured learning later in his career gave him the opportunity to build on a long-standing interest in technology and take his skills further.

Over two years of dedicated study, research and hands-on projects, Daniel deepened his technical expertise and applied his learning directly in his role. One standout project saw him develop a machine learning solution to analyse large volumes of information and identify whether standards were being met, helping to streamline processes and improve how insights were presented.

He describes the programme as a “phenomenal” experience, highlighting the support from trainers, the structured modules and the focus on mastering knowledge, skills and behaviours. His proudest achievement? Reaching the end of a challenging and rewarding journey.
