Assistant Vice President | Institutional Credit Management. Citi Level 4 Data Analyst Learner
“At the time of starting the apprenticeship I had recently transitioned into a new role within Citi specifically within Institutional Credit Management (ICM) previously from an onsite IT background, I faced a significant learning curve in data analytics. While I had initiated self-study and shadowing peers to build foundational data skills, the L4 Data Analyst Decoded Apprenticeship, presented by my manager, emerged as the perfect opportunity. It offered a structured environment to fill knowledge gaps, accelerate my learning, and directly apply new skills within my day to day role.
The most invaluable skills gained were in data architecture and data manipulation. These areas formed the absolute bedrock for my role as a Data Analyst in ICM and have proven even more critical since my move to the Enterprise Data Office (EDO) as a Product Developer last year. This deepened understanding of how data is managed within workflows, dashboards, and databases has made complex applications inherently more approachable, both for business objectives and my personal development.
My new skills have significantly enhanced the contribution I make across my teams. Previously, I provided support for the maintenance of workflows and dashboards for stakeholders within ICM alongside my peers. Now, I am capable of independently leading the creation and management of these work items for stakeholders. Furthermore, I have become a primary point of contact and support for data-related inquiries and solutions.”
