“I enrolled onto the programme because I wanted to gain more knowledge, experience, and confidence working with data. My initial goal was to improve my basic Excel and data skills.

After submitting my portfolio, but before completing the EPA, I was asked to solve a data problem that required validating specific data. Initially, we expected low volumes, but they turned out to be much higher, making manual completion unfeasible. I fully automated the process, including cleaning and joining datasets using macros. I’m really proud of this achievement, as I wouldn’t have been able to complete the task without the knowledge gained from the apprenticeship. It had a real, positive impact on the business, saving hours of manual work that can now be redirected to other tasks.

The apprenticeship has changed the way I approach data problems. I’ve become more confident, with a transformed mindset and thought process. I’m also confident that completing the apprenticeship has significantly broadened my career opportunities.”
